Your Blueprint: What You Will Lead & Master

​The core of this role is to establish, maintain, and optimize a robust financial framework, covering everything from daily cash flow to annual statutory reporting.

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance Mastery:

  • The Big Picture: Prepare, own, and present the complete suite of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements—including the Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statement—providing leadership with clear, insightful analysis.
  • The Foundation: Command the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and absolute integrity of all financial data.
  • Regulatory Guardian: Act as our primary compliance officer, ensuring meticulous adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and all relevant UAE accounting standards, including VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

2. Control, Systems & Strategic Cash Flow:

  • Internal Controls Architect: Design, document, and enforce stringent internal financial controls, policies, and accounting systems that safeguard company assets and maintain the highest level of accountability.
  • Liquidity Navigator: Take the helm of company liquidity and treasury operations. This involves expert management of bank facilities, Letters of Credit (LCs), Letters of Guarantee (LGs), and other project-specific financial instruments critical to our business.
  • Working Capital Optimizer: Supervise and streamline the Accounts Receivable (A/R), Collections, and Accounts Payable (A/P) functions to maintain a robust, predictable, and healthy cash flow cycle.
  • Forecasting & Oversight: Drive accurate treasury forecasts and monitor daily bank reconciliations and cash flow statements, providing a real-time pulse on the company’s financial standing.

Who Can Apply? The Profile of Our Financial Architect

​This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a specific blend of technical expertise, regional knowledge, and leadership acumen.

I. Core Experience & Qualifications (The Non-Negotiables):

  1. Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
  2. Professional Certification: A globally recognized professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is highly preferred, demonstrating a deep technical mastery of financial principles.
  3. Relevant Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3-5 years in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership position.
  4. IFRS and UAE Expertise: Demonstrated, hands-on experience in preparing financial statements fully compliant with IFRS is mandatory. Crucially, candidates must possess a strong, current working knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and upcoming Corporate Tax compliance.
  5. Location Commitment: Proven ability or willingness to relocate to and work in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), UAE.

II. Technical & Functional Expertise (The Tools of the Trade):

  • ERP Proficiency: Advanced command of a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and a mastery of advanced financial modeling in Microsoft Excel.
  • Treasury Management: Proven track record in managing corporate treasury functions, including the negotiation and management of bank facilities, LCs, LGs, and managing foreign exchange exposure.
  • Internal Control Design: Specific experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls that withstand external audit scrutiny.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Experience in leading and coordinating annual external audits and liaising with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies in the UAE.

III. Leadership & Soft Skills (The Strategic Edge):

  • Strategic Mindset: The ability to analyze complex financial data, identify underlying trends, and translate them into clear, strategic recommendations for the CEO and senior management.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders and lead a small, focused finance team.
  • Integrity and Accountability: A meticulous eye for detail, unwavering integrity, and a professional commitment to accuracy and ethical financial practice under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to finance, constantly seeking opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
